INTERNSHIPS Opportunities:

The Ranch Solutions, LLC Internship Program provides hands-on ranch experience, preparing college students for future careers in cattle ranching and learning what it takes to operate a successful cow-calf operation. We are located in Erwin, North Carolina.

We focus on development through a hands-on, learn-by-doing approach.

We annually offer internship opportunities during the Summer months. For 2022, the program will run from May – August (dependent on college schedule). However, we also offer spring, summer and fall internships.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Moving/checking cattle

  • Monitoring animal health

  • General maintenance/mechanics

  • Building fences

  • Day-to-day ranch requirements

  • Learn principles of Holistic Management, intensive grazing, utilizing cover crops to build soil health and cut winter feed costs, and practices to become profitable in a ranching business

  • Gain hands-on experience to expand your resume/application

INTERNSHIPS FAQs

  • In general most internships last about 3-6 months. This is negotiable based on personal circumstances.

  • Housing is optional and negotiable. If on-site housing is offered, it is a bunk house to be shared with others. Basic linens will be provided to be kept cleaned by the tenant at their own expense.

  • No positions offer food as part of the compensation. If housing is utilized, basic kitchen appliances will be provided for preparing your own meals.

    While management may provide special occasion meals and entertainment, all interns are responsible for maintaining their own after work activities and entertainment.

  • No pets are allowed for any job or internship positions.

  • Minimum age for applying is 21 years old for most positions.

  • You can apply if you are eligible to work in the USA at the time of applying. This means you must have a valid work visa in place or be a dual citizen.
